You choose which hardwood (cherry, maple, or walnut) you prefer and the piece is handcrafted just for you, finished with a natural hand-rubbed finish. The bed is designed with a superb platform, eliminating the need for a box spring (although it can be made in that style). All beds have ten wide slats that securely interlock with hardwood dowels on the side rails. Side rails are joined to the head and footboards with heavy-duty cast hangers. No tools are required. King and California King sizes have center-reinforced support by way of a strong piece of hardwood that attaches to the head and foot board via drop-in hardware, just under the slats.
